What does €324k per FTE mean?

This is the total personnel cost (salary + pension contribution + employer contributions + overhead) divided by the number of FTE. Not an individual salary — collective-agreement scales top out around €170–190k for senior specialists.

Specifically for DNB: this figure covers only the supervisory ZBO arm (~800 FTE). The monetary ESCB arm (~1,200 FTE — currency, payments, money creation) is formally not a ZBO and falls outside the "ZBOs in Beeld" reporting. The overhead load therefore falls entirely on the supervisory half. For DNB as a whole (~2,000 FTE · ~€380M personnel) it comes out at about €190k per FTE.

Founded

1948

De Nederlandsche Bank is op 25 maart 1814 bij Koninklijk Besluit van Willem I opgericht als circulatiebank en werd op 1 april 1948 genationaliseerd. Sinds 1999 is DNB onderdeel van het ESCB en sinds 2004 de integrale prudentieel toezichthouder op financiële instellingen.

De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) is de centrale bank van Nederland en onderdeel van het Eurosysteem. DNB draagt bij aan prijsstabiliteit, houdt prudentieel toezicht op banken, verzekeraars, pensioenfondsen en betaalinstellingen, zorgt voor een stabiel betalingsverkeer en beheert de Nederlandse goud- en valutareserves. Het toezicht is samen met de ECB vormgegeven binnen het Single Supervisory Mechanism.
