/ 03 — History
Founded
2006
De Dopingautoriteit werd op 1 januari 2006 opgericht als fusie van het Nederlands Centrum voor Dopingvraagstukken (NeCeDo, 1989) en de Stichting Doping Controle Nederland (DoCoNed). Zij voert het nationale anti-dopingbeleid uit en werd in 2019 in de Wet uitvoering antidopingbeleid als ZBO verankerd.

De Dopingautoriteit is de nationale anti-dopingorganisatie die controles uitvoert bij sporters, opleidingen en voorlichting verzorgt en zaken onderzoekt op basis van de Wet uitvoering antidopingbeleid. Jaarlijks worden duizenden monsters afgenomen binnen en buiten wedstrijdverband, conform de World Anti-Doping Code. De organisatie beheert ook de nationale dispensatielijn en de dopingwaarschuwingslijst voor supplementen.
