Founded
2012
Het Mondriaan Fonds is op 1 januari 2012 ontstaan uit de fusie van de Mondriaan Stichting (1994) en het Fonds BKVB (Fonds voor beeldende kunsten, vormgeving en bouwkunst). Het ZBO subsidieert beeldende kunst, cultureel erfgoed en bijzondere projecten.

Het Mondriaan Fonds is het publieke stimuleringsfonds voor beeldende kunst en cultureel erfgoed. Het fonds verstrekt subsidies aan kunstenaars, bemiddelaars, musea en presentatie-instellingen, waaronder werkbijdragen, aankoopregelingen voor museale collecties, internationale residenties en projectsubsidies voor erfgoed. Het budget bedraagt ruim 30 miljoen euro per jaar.
