Founded
1993

Het Nederlands Filmfonds ontstond in 1993 uit een fusie van twee voorgangers: het Productiefonds voor Nederlandse Films en het Fonds voor de Nederlandse Film. Het opereert als cultuurfonds van de rijksoverheid onder de Wet op het specifiek cultuurbeleid.

/ 04 — About the organisation
Het Filmfonds stimuleert een pluriform en kwalitatief hoogstaand filmaanbod in Nederland en bevordert een gezond productieklimaat. Het fonds verstrekt subsidies voor scenario-ontwikkeling, productie, distributie, talentontwikkeling en internationale coproducties, en beheert samen met de Belastingdienst de Netherlands Film Production Incentive.
